BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The implementation of the project proposal will contribute to the improvement of the air quality in the municipality of Smolyan, by reducing the excessive levels of fine dust particles and indirectly of nitrogen oxides. The set activities are aimed at supporting measures related to conducting research, studies, information and awareness campaigns, as a result of the implementation of which specific investment measures aimed at the domestic heating identified as the main source of PM10 pollution, falling within the scope of the measures from the National Program for Improving Air Quality (2018-2024) and contributing to the objectives of the National Program for Air Pollution Control according to Directive (EU) 2016/2284 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 December 2016 on the reduction of national emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants.

The measures implemented with the project proposal, together with other measures supported by various sources of funding under European and national programs, as well as with funds from the municipal budget will contribute to the implementation of the country’s commitments to improve air quality management and will help achieve the objectives arising from national legislation transposing the requirements of Directive 2008/50 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2008 on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe (Directive 2008/50 / EC).

OUR PARTICIPATION
Preparation of a project proposal: Within the framework of the present activity, all documents, analyzes, studies and data necessary for the implementation of the project proposal have been prepared. In implementation of the activity are developed: The project proposal; Project budget, corresponding to the sample budget of the project proposal in UMIS 2020; Analysis regarding the evaluation of the activities for the first stage of the project, which contains information on the basis of which documents, analyzes, studies the activities are evaluated, etc. analyzes and documents. For the preparation of the project proposal a contract was signed №PNO-OP-19.02-4 dated 21.02.2019 with subject “Preparation of a project proposal and accompanying documents in connection with the application of the Municipality of Smolyan under a procedure for granting a grant BG16M1OP002-5.003“ Measures for improving the quality of the atmospheric air “under priority axis 5 of OPE 2014-2020”.
